Two Thais die from coronavirus in New York City

Two Thais have died from coronavirus in New York City, the United States’ epicenter of the outbreak, the Thai consulate in New York confirmed on Friday. 

The first patient was an auto mechanic who worked in Queens and passed away on Wednesday, while the second, who died on Thursday, was a chef who worked at a Thai restaurant in northern Manhattan.

Both were male in their 50s.

The Thai consulate of New York has reached out to their family members and expressed their condolences and promised to assist in any way that they can.

So far, three Thais in the United States have died from coronavirus.

The first was a Thai woman who held dual-citizenship in Washington D.C.
