Thailand’s TrueVision hiring new staff to monitor foreign press for anti-monarchy and illegal content.

Thailand’s TrueVision has posted a job listing on JobsDB for qualified candidates to monitor 17 “talk show and foreign news channels” for content that might be anti-monarchy or against Thailand’s constitution.

The successful candidates would have to monitor and record offending shows that “must be censored under the law.” They will also have to summarize the content of these shows.

Article 112 of the criminal code of Thailand makes it illegal to insult the king, the queen, and the immediate family of the monarch. Those that are found guilty of violating 112 could face up to 15 years in prison.

Those interested to apply can do so here.
