A council of old men, tasked by the generals and coupmakers to continue their ideas, asks for a raise

Srisuwan Janya, a political activist, urged the 20-year National Strategy Committee to disband on Wednesday after the council asked for a raise in their meeting allowance.

The 20-year National Strategy, imposed upon the country by the generals and sycophants that carried out the 2014 coup, requires any subsequent government to follow the steps outlined by the coupmakers for 20 years.

Now members of the committee tasked with overseeing the implementation of the plan are asking for a raise from the government.

The request for the meeting allowance will result in the chair of the meeting receiving 12,000 Baht per month; the vice-chair and committee members receiving 9,600 Baht each; the secretary receiving 4,800 Baht, and a maximum of two secretary assistances receiving 2,500 Baht each.

Srisuwan urged the committee to disband because it has not done anything worth mentioning.
