No new coronavirus cases in Thailand on Monday

Thailand’s government said on Monday that it had discovered no new coronavirus case in the country.

The total number of cases in the country is still at 3,135 confirmed patients.

Thailand has seen 21 days or three weeks with the absence of local-transmitted case, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA)’s spokesperson Dr Thaweesin Visanuyothin said on Monday.

However, there are still more than 10,000 Thais that have requested to return, but the quota is still limit at 300-400 passengers per day.

“We must remain vigilant since the number [of returnees who have found to be infected] could still increase,” he said.

Monday also marks the first day of Phase 4 of the easing period with curfew now lifted and majority of businesses reopened.

There were no new recoveries meaning that the number of discharged patients remains at 2,987.

There were also no new fatalities with the death toll still at 58.
