Thailand discovers one new case of coronavirus in state quarantine on Thursday; one straight month without local transmission

Thailand’s government on Thursday said that it had discovered one new case of coronavirus in the last 24 hours; a returnee from Egypt.

This is the 31st straight day with no new locally transmitted cases in Thailand, officially marking one straight month without any local transmissions in the country.

The new discoveries bring the total number of cases up to 3,158.

There were no new fatalities leaving the death toll at 58.

12 more patients have recovered from the virus with the total number of discharged patients now at 3,038.

62 patients remain in hospitals.
