The worldwide number of coronavirus infections continues to climb with the global infected total approaching 10 million with 9,910,005 cases as of Saturday morning.
The global death toll is also steadily climbing and approaching 500,000 deaths with the death toll at 496,991 as of Saturday morning.
Countries which had flattened the curve in the west have seen a recent resurgence of the virus due to easing lockdown measures and mass gatherings.
The number of cases in the United States particularly has spiked in key states such as California and Florida.
Brazil continues to be one of the hardest hit countries with over 1.2 million cases and counting as of Saturday.
