Blackpink’s “Ice Cream” becomes band’s ninth music video to hit 200M views on YouTube

Blackpink’s latest release “Ice Cream” featuring American artist Selena Gomez has now become their ninth music video to hit 200 million views on YouTube.

According to soompi, a Korean media news site, “Ice Cream” reached 200 million views in just 10 days and 13 hours. The bright and colourful music video is their ninth to reach such a milestone, joining the ranks of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Boombayah.”

“Ice Cream” premiered on August 28 where it quickly garnered 10 million views in under three hours, breaking the previous record of fastest girl group to reach 10 million views – which they also held with the group’s first digital release of the summer, “How You Like That.”

The bubblegum-infused pop song is Blackpink’s second digital release of a three-step comeback plan. The final step will culminate in Blackpink’s first studio album since their debut, scheduled for October 2.

The global K-pop girl group is made up of four members: Lalisa “Lisa” Manoban, the internationally famous Thai idol with 38.8 million Instagram followers, Roseanne “Rosé” Park, Jennie Kim and Jisoo Kim.
