Thailand’s government said on Thursday that it had discovered seven cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in state quarantine.
The patients are Thai returnees from Saudi Arabia (5) and India (2).
The new discovery brings the total number of cases up to 3,454 cases.
There are no new fatalities leaving the death toll at 58.
Twenty-four people have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours. This means that the total number of discharged patients is now at 3,310.
Currently, 86 people remain in hospital.
There are now more than 28 million confirmed coronavirus cases globally. On Thursday, it was reported that 288,063 cases were found within the past 24 hours.
More than 20 million people (71.7 per cent) have recovered from the infection and more than 907,000 (3.2 per cent) have died from the disease.
Currently, there are around 60,500 patients being treated as severe cases.
There were more than 6.5 million confirmed cases in the US alone with 195,239 deaths, followed by India (4.4 million/75,091), Brazil (4.1 million/126,653), Russia (1 million/18,135) and Peru (702,000/30,236).
On Thursday, India reported 95,529 confirmed cases and 1,168 deaths followed by the US (35,244/1,207) and Brazil (34,208/1,136).
