Thailand’s government said on Tuesday that it had discovered ten cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in state quarantine.
The patients are seven Thai returnees while the others are foreign visitors from Kuwait (1) and Russia (2).
The new discovery brings the total number of cases up to 3,600 cases.
There are no new fatalities leaving the death toll at 59.
No one has completely recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of discharged patients to 3,390.
Currently, 151 people remain in hospital.
There are now more than 35.6 million confirmed coronavirus cases globally. On Tuesday, it was reported that 264,209 cases were found within the past 24 hours.
Approximately 26.8 million people (75.3 per cent) have recovered and more than one million people (2.9 per cent) have died from the disease.
Currently, there are around 66,800 patients being treated as severe cases.
There are more than 7.6 million confirmed cases in the US alone with more than 215,000 deaths, followed by India (6.6 million / 103,000), Brazil (4.9 million / 146,000), Russia (1.2 million / 21,000), Colombia (860,000 / 26,000), Spain (850,000 / 32,000), Peru (820,000 / 32,000), and Argentina (800,000 / 21,000)
India reported itd highest daily confirmed cases and deaths on Tuesday at 59,893 and 886 respectively followed by the US (41,576 / 421), Brazil (25,210 / 398), Argentina (11,242 / 450) and Russia (10,888 / 117).
