Photo Essay: Covid tests at Thailand Youth Center

On Wednesday, we sent our photographer to cover covid-tests for low-income workers and others insured under the social security scheme at the Thailand Youth Centre.

Over 6,000 individuals will be tested at the Thailand Youth Center with testing set to run from April 17 until April 30.

As of Wednesday morning 1,600 people have been tested for the virus. People who are registered for the social security plan can register for the tests at https://sso.icntracking.com/icntracking/self_register.php.

According to the testing centre, it can handle around 2,000 people per day. It is the latest move by the government to help lower income groups and those who can’t pay for private hospitals test for the virus.
