Delivery drivers from courier platform Lalamove gathered at the headquarters in Sathorn Thani Building to demand fair compensation.
Three demands of the Freedom Riders Union are:
- Reverse the decision to reduce the cost of operations in different districts and vehicle types.
- Create a first-come-first-served system for accepting jobs and find a way to disable hacking applications in the same way apps as Grab do.
- Provide drivers with access to jobs in a five-kilometer radius so that they have the same opportunity to accept a job.
The Union representatives have stated that if they don’t receive their demands within 24 hours they’ll escalate their activity and bring “hundreds of vehicles.”
