Two Thai commercials wins prestigious award at Cannes Lions 2022

Two Thai commercials have made it onto the winners list this week at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, a prestigious award for those working in the creative industries especially in the fields of commercials and advertisement.

The awardees were Leo Burnett Thailand which won both Silver and Bronze Lions and Phenomena Co., Bangkok winning a Bronze Lion.

Leo Burnett Thailand’s ‘Metaverrrrrr’, a commercial of Krungsri First Choice, was awarded Silver Lion in the Consumer Service category and Bronze Lion in the Local Brand category.

Phenomena secured a Bronze Lion for its commercial ‘The Wisdom of the East’ for 5 Takabb Anti-cough Pill and Spray. 

The two award-winning commercials are a continuation of Thailand’s excellence in the field of advertisement. 61 Lions were awarded to production houses around the world: 8 Gold, 20 Silver, and 31 Bronze, as well as two Film Lions Grand Prix.

The Grand Prix’ were awarded to ‘Super Human’, for Channel 4 by 4creative from the UK and ‘Escape from the Office’ for Apple by Apple, Sunnyvale / Smuggler from the United States.
