Photo Essay: Bhumjaithai at Benchasiri Park

Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul led a rally at Bangkok’s Benchasiri Park to help promote the party’s MP candidates in nearby districts yesterday.

The party is aiming for more than 120 MP seats at the upcoming general election on May 14 compared to the 51 seats that they won in the previous election in 2019.

The party did not win any seat in Bangkok at the previous election and they are aiming to change that as well.

Anutin pledged that his party will push for more electric public buses and boats in the capital to tackle the smog problem.

The party will provide free chemotherapy for cancer patients and free kidney dialysis while pushing for more work from home, he said.

Anutin said there are not enough hospitals in Bangkok and if they are back in government, they will build more.

The party also has policies to postpone debt payments for up to three years and more personal loans.

Anutin said earlier this week that his party will not join a coalition that does not support his party’s marijuana policy and a coalition that aims to amend the lese-majeste law.
