The Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group of Bangchak Corporation hosted an event called “A New Era Unfolds” in Singapore to introduce the group’s businesses.
The event took place amidst the annual Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference (APPEC 2023). This conference brought together executives from various companies in the oil and energy industry and related sectors to foster connections among businesses at both the regional and global levels.
Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation, said at the event that the Bangchak Group currently operates five main businesses, including the Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group, Marketing Business Group, Power Business Group, Bio-Based Products Business Group, and Natural Resources Business Group. Furthermore, Bangchak is also engaged in New Frontier Businesses and the Bangchak Initiative and Innovation Center (BiiC).
The Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group has two refineries, including Bangchak Refinery Phra Khanong and Bangchak Refinery Sriracha, with a combined nameplate capacity of nearly 300,000 barrels per day.
Additionally, BCP Trading, or BCPT, based in Singapore, has an expert team in the global market and conducts international oil trading business in over 20 countries, with over 100 contractual partnerships worldwide. BCPT is poised to become a sustainable supplier with ISCC certification (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification).
Bangchak has established Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics to manage domestic and international fuel transportation operations for road and maritime vehicles. It is further expanding oil storage facilities to cover the entire country and venturing into the pipeline and logistics fuel transportation business.
Bangchak is also investing in Sustainable Aviation Fuel, manufacturing aviation fuel from used cooking oil to address global warming concerns and contribute to the goal of achieving Net Zero emissions, he added.
