Bumrungrad expects its VitalLife unit’s revenues  to rise by 20% as it launches its revamped business unit

VitalLife, a unit of world renown Bumrungrad International Hospital Plc (BH), is evolving and has revamped its facilities to address growing global health and longevity trends which is witnessing a surge in market size amid rising awareness of being healthy.

Global wellness market is expected to reach as high as US$8.5 trillion by 2027 from the $5.6 trillion at the current moment, and Bumrungrad International wants to tap this growth potential with its VitalLife arm aiming to enhance proactive healthcare focusing on prevention and quality of life rather than just treatment.

Artirat Charukitpipat, Chief Executive Officer of BH and Executive Director of VitalLife Scientific Wellness Center, disclosed that according to the New Global Wellness Institute, the total value of the health and wellness market is expected to see a 40% increase from the figures seen in 2023.

BH plans to tap this growth potential with its launch of its new revamped VitalLife unit, which has been redesigned to be more luxurious and modern, and located in Building D of Bumrungrad International Hospital. VitalLife unit including its executives and medical teams have undergone changes to align with the anticipated growth of the longevity medicine megatrend.

She added VitalLife in 2023 saw its revenues reach the level of 1 billion Baht with 15% growth of clients, while it expects to grow about 20% within this year because at present, people are becoming more aware of the importance of healthcare and disease prevention.

This awareness is driven by both young people seeking preventive care and older individuals looking to improve their health span.

Under new leadership, VitalLife is integrating advanced technologies, including AI, to personalize healthcare and improve patient outcomes. Furthermore, the executive and medical teams have undergone changes to align with the anticipated growth of the longevity medicine megatrend.

VitalLife’s approach includes innovative lab techniques, AI-driven analysis for precise treatments, and a holistic healthcare journey that emphasizes individualized care plans.
